Nationwide sensation Tiny Pies is coming to Union Hall this Friday, July 22nd! The massively successful Austin, Texas-based pie shop is the brainchild of Amanda Bates and Kit Seay; a business that Tiny Pies claims has been, unofficially, a family tradition for generations.
The Tiny Pies owners Amanda and Kit came from a long line of bakers, Amanda learning their family recipes from her mother Kit, Kit learning from her mother before that, and so on. The idea for the mother-daughter duo’s establishment actually came from Amanda’s 9 year old son, Andrew, one fateful day in 2010 after he asked why he couldn’t take a slice of apple pie to school. Amanda tried explaining to her son that the pie slice wouldn’t be easy to eat after being packed up and moved. A response that young Andrew challenged asking why they couldn’t make a pie he could just eat with his hands. Not long after, Amanda and her mother, Kit, embarked on their mission to bring their long-cherished family recipes to the public, opening their doors just one year later in 2011.
We are more than proud to officially welcome Tiny Pies to the Union Hall family and are excited to announce that Tiny Pies will be offering the first 100 customers a FREE Chocolate Cream Tiny Pie in celebration of their grand opening!
